Intelligentsia Coffee was founded by Doug Zell and Emily Mange, who moved to Chicago from SF to open a new coffee roast-retailers in 1995.Since then Intelligentsia Coffee has expanded in the various locations in Chicago, as well as Los Angeles and New York.
